Where are Saskatchewan’s most scenic running trails? Well, that’s a matter of opinion – and we are searching for our province’s most picturesque running routes.
For the next three weeks, we are asking you to email us (jonathan@brainsport.ca) a photo from your favourite route. It can be in the city or from the countryside or the lake. Send us a photo with a short description of why you love that location.
In the Canada Day edition of the Brainsport Times, we will post the Top 10 photos. To help start the process, we are posting a few today!
The first photo (at the top of this blog) is from the stunning Meewasin Trail in Saskatoon. I run this trail several times a week – year-round!
In the province’s southwest corner, the Beaver Flat Fifty course offers eye-popping views. (Photo credit: Nathan Jones)

And here is another favourite running trail – the beautiful Wakamow Valley just steps away from downtown Moose Jaw.

Send us your photos! We will show everyone the beauty of our province on Canada Day.
FINISH LINES: Earlier this month, three Saskatoon runners broke Saskatchewan records on the outdoor track at Gordie Howe Sports Complex.
Lynne Wawryk-Epp’s time also broke the Canadian record. Lynne – at the young age of 71 – eclipsed the existing Canadian W70 3000m by 37 seconds to finish in 13:57. Her time ranks her 4th in the World Master Ranking for this outdoor season. Lynne will compete at the World Master Championships in South Korea in August… Harvey Weber will also be in South Korea. Harvey broke the Saskatchewan 3000M record in the M60 category by 12 seconds running 11:28. Keith Meszaros broke the M70 record by 21 seconds running 13:11. Thanks to Harvey for the tip on the story.
